Major tax relief has been granted to the Islamabad property market in May 2026. Under the new federal notification S.R.O. 644(I)/2026, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has significantly reduced the valuation rates (DC Rates) for Gulberg Greens and Gulberg Residencia. This reduction, ranging from 30% to 35%, directly lowers the cost of property transfers, advance taxes, and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) for both buyers and sellers.

1. Gulberg Residencia: Residential Plot Valuation 2026

The FBR has reduced the possession-based valuation from Rs. 19,000 to Rs. 13,300 per square yard. Non-possession plots are maintained at a baseline of Rs. 5,000 per square yard.
